Massage Magic? Massage Oil by KamaSutra (Soaring Spirit scent)

I first encountered products by KamaSutra in a Pagan bookstore in LA. Their selection was mostly lubricants and body dust, but I was intrigued. What the heck was a store like that doing with a random table of sensual merchandise? I mean, there was nothing else like it in the store. There was a giant bust of Satan, about a billion types of incense, and... No, nothing else remotely similar.
My interest eventually got fulfilled after deciding to buy one of their massage oils online. The scent I chose was called "Soaring Spirit." I liked the way some of the scents had spiritually inclined names like that. Maybe that's what got the aforementioned bookstore interested in carrying them.
The bottle I received was a great size, a plastic bottle about seven and a half inches tall holding 200 ml of oil. The label has a similar, vaguely exotic look as does much of this brand's product line, also the black KamaSutra logo.

The description of the ingredients on the back had me dying to rub this stuff into my often sore muscles, calling this oil an "invigorating blend of essential oils of orange, lemon, mint, geranium, ginger, fennel, and rose for a romantic massage." Well, I wouldn't call the scent romantic exactly. It makes me feel energized and uplifted more than anything else. The mint is definitely the most noticeable part of the oil, both to the nose and to my skin. Directly in the bottle, it smells almost entirely like mint and citrus but the floral and ginger aspects become apparent after the oil is out on your hands and body.

So, how does it perform as a massage oil? This is really my first time bothering to use one instead of just lotion so take my review with a grain of salt if you're a massage oil aficionado. I thought this stuff was great. The scent is quite lovely and the mintiness gives some temporary soothing to my skin. The consistency is as to be expected for an oil, not overly thick. It's like olive oil, not cooking oil. It absorbs fairly well which was important to me. It definitely leaves a mild coating on skin even after rubbing it in but it doesn't come off on clothes (Or the computer keyboard, I can attest to this as I write right now.). I also just got some spilled on my black lounge pants earlier and I can tell you that it doesn't stain black knitwear at least. I'd be careful with anything else though, just in case.
The oil is clear with a slight green tint.

The ingredients:
Soybean oil, grape seed oil, pistacia vera seed oil, C 12-15 alkyl benzoate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, sweet almond oil, fragrance, tocopheryl acetate, lecithin, citrol, citronellol, geranoil, limonene, linalool.

That's all I got for now, folks. I recently ordered the sampler pack with the other scents including Sweet Almond and I will be sure to write a review on that as well.

Well, Fuck

I LIED.
It's already 2013 and I didn't do another review yet. Well, I am serious this time about blogging on here more. Why?
You may have noticed that I took down my EdenFantasys affiliate links. Why? I've gotten tons of free stuff from them, why would I suddenly cut ties with them?
Well, a lot of crap has happened recently. I already had a lot of evidence that the store wasn't being honest and fair with its employees but since I wasn't really generating much income for them anyway, I figured I would support the review platform anyway. Well... It would take forever for me to explain what happened myself so just know that I'm pretty sure the company's future is cloudy at best and my conscience pings every time I log in. Points be damned, I gotta get me some less questionable morals again. I'll be around until I get blog links from everyone I like on there, et cetera.
I have way too many toys so I'll be reviewing without sex site affiliation for a while (I might still add Amazon links if no one minds.) until I start getting more traffic.
If you have more info on the current EF situation either to cheer me up (I hate losing both the Eden forums and now potentially Tumblr as well in the same week.) or confirm my fears, feel free to contact me at prettyboytoybox@gmail.com.
On the bright side, my reviews from now on will be NO. HOLDS. BARRED. I never was one to sugar coat but I always tried to acknowledge that not everyone's body is like mine with my stimulation needs in my Eden reviews but now I won't feel so bad if/when I go off on a rant about how awful a toy is. Oh, and I can swear like a sailor here. I don't think it was ever specifically banned on EF but I tried not to. This is hard for me.
